9”x12”x1.5” Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas.

—The Earth Exhales—

A tiny creature, soft and still,

Looks upward from a grassy hill.

With twitching nose and quiet eye,

He gazes toward the rugged sky.

Where clouds hang heavy from the loss,

Now stands a bare and empty cross.

But look! The day breaks free from night,

Bathed in the Resurrection light.

For on that wood the cost was paid,

The weight of all on One was laid.

The King who traded crown for thorn,

To die so man could be reborn.

Creation bows, let all now see.

The Savior rose, the tomb is free!

From smallest breath to mountain tall,

Sing praise to He who paid it all.

The Earth exhales, the night is gone,

To meet the Light of Easter dawn.
